Last saturday we went to the first annual "Cowboy Heritage Day" and rodeo in Kississimmee. About half of us competed in a "whip poppin" contest, unfortunately none of us won, but it was fun anyway:) Then that night, we older kids stayed for the rodeo. We had a blast!
The "Magnificent Seven Whip Poppers"
Everyone had to pop on concrete which made the whips
go alot faster, bounce on the concrete, thus causing everyone to get tangled.
Mrs. Stokes cookin up some grub in the solar powered oven.
She was such a sweet lady.
A bunch of rough cowboys......
Just Kidding.
Can't hold back those smiles for too long.
Time for the rodeo
(It was 14 different ranches against each other, 5 people from each ranch. Very fun)
Wild cow milking and it WAS wild!!
"Hey Jordan and Liv"
Gabriel and Jord got in on a little bull riding.
Hey, I think the bulls are tryin to fight!!
Here, let me break 'em up for ya.
OH!!, This is harder than I thought!!!
This just wasn't Liv's night to shine
and it wasn't the poor cowboy's, either :(
Hope you enjoyed the show.....

Oh wow! That rodeo looked NEAT!!! Wow! :)
I loved the pics of you, Liv, The Great Bull Seperater! :) :) :) That was very funny. :) I WOULD like to know how Gabriel ended up trampled, and Liv got free, seeing as she was in the likely trampoling spot. :) And what happened to Jordan during all this??? ;) Man, you could write a whopper of a story on that one. :) :D

"Every cowboy needs a bull, needs a bull, needs a bull, and a pair of fancy boots, fancy boots, fancy boots, if he wants to go riding, riding, along."
Looks like you young uns was having some fun, while the adults were out touring the Clouds around "old Florida" I say, hip hip horray for all the whip poppers!!! Great job!!
Kitty,
We had some ideas of some good stories, but if we did that, we would probably NEVER post because we would never have time to finish the story. Around here stories go on and on and on. Just can't leave out any part of the adventure, ya know?
Mrs. S,
I like that song!! Wish we'd have known the rodeo was a REAL rodeo. It would've been fun to watch.
Thanks for commenting you two.
Love y'all,

Looks like great FUN! It has been years since I have been to a rodeo. CJ absolutely loves watching bull riding. When he was 4, he named one of his bulls "Bodacious" after the famous rodeo bull!
I heard you all did a good job -- looked like a LARGE crowd was there. I am proud of all the whip poppers! Maybe next time, huh?

That was a fun day spent in real Florida - even if we DIDN'T get to stay for the Rodeo. Thanks for sharing some of it with us! It looks like it was a lot of fun. The kids all did great at the whip popping. I know I was impressed :)
