The Garden "2008"

As spring approaches, it is that time again.

My Father and Uncle were avid gardeners. As long as I can remember, we always had a garden. I remember spending hours riding on the tractor and the smell of dirt always lingered.

Many of the deep truths in scripture can be understood in understanding the simplicity of farming. So, even though it is more convenient and allot of times less expensive to go to the grocery store and buy our food, I want my children to have the experience of farming as I was taught as a young man and to pass down the principles that come along with it.

Enjoy the pictures,

The Pizza

Once upon a time, there was a girl who, as she was sleeping, dreamed she had a huge, wonderful pizza. When she awoke, she was so sad and disappointed that it was a dream, that she pouted for an hour. When suddenly she had an extraordinary idea."Why don't I just go order me a wonderfuly delicious pizza",....so she did.

Seeing that Papa John's was the nearest pizza place around, she went there.

" Oh wonderful", she exclaimed, "They have delivery, so I won't even have to go in."

" AAAAhhh!!!! I forgot to Order my pizza!" Thankfully there was a pay phone close by.

After franticly looking in the phone book for the number, she called. Feeling even hungrier than before, she decided to order an XLarge pizza. "Ok, what kind of crust do you want?", "Um, I'll have buttercheese, Please" " what toppings ya want?," "everything you can put on it," " you want pepperoni?" "Um, yes ma'am, I want everything," "you want cheese?" Uhh, Yes ma'am, I would like everything you can put on the pizza," "Uh, um, you mean you want everything?......hold on let me go talk to my manager,...............................Ok ma'am, you there? "Yes, I'm here," " ok, she said its fine."Cash or charge?" "cash" "Ok, that will be $56.00. " "What, 56 dollars......um, well ok" "It will be about 35 min." " Thank you and good bye"

Waiting...........Tick, tock, tick, tock....After patiently waiting for 45 minutes, she see's workers coming out and the manager putting the CLOSED sign in the window......

No...No...what about my pizza...what about the delicious taste of wonderful pizza going down my throat. What will I do, what will I do?.....(sniff, sniff)

Desparate times calls for desparate measures!!

Well actualy she went to Publix next door and got some frozen pizza, took it home and tryed to pretend it was yummy.

The moral of the story is that pizza is very bad for you, so go home and eat a salad(ha ha)
